Festival of Creativity 2023
Festival of Creativity 2022
Our first Festival of Creativity was held in May 2022. This brought the entire school community together to celebrate our creativity. A week long Festival included concerts, an art exhibition, a film exhibition and a day log stage and stalls event. Every member of the school community took part. Our concerts included drama from our Transition Year students, music and song...even some original compositions....dance, poetry and beatboxing. Our school community were so proud of our many talented students. For our stage and stalls event students shared their creative products and even treated us to some origami workshops. Students performed onstage. The sun shone and a fabulous day was enjoyed by all. Our Creative Associate, Ana Colomer, made a wonderful documentary charting the Festival throughout the week.
The week was so enjoyable and created many lasting memories across the school community.

In 2021, our school took part in the Creative Schools Initiative. We had our Creative Associate Anna come and help us implement a plan to expand creativity in our school and wider community. She trained us and helped us with networking and ideas. She did exercises to see what was wanted by the student body.

The Festival of Creativity
This led to us deciding on a Creative Plan to inspire and foster creativity within our school and wider community. We will have our own Festival of Creativity with the theme of Connection & Community. This will take place in May. We’ll have students performing on stage, art exhibitions, murals, animation workshops, puppetry and much more! We’re also getting parents involved, we’re looking for expertise on construction, graphic design and materials that anyone might have spare e.g fairy lights, parasols and display units. We have a full list here. We have a website where you can find regular updates regarding the festival. We hope to see you there!
