All Ireland Success For Katie Keogh
Congratulations to Fifth Year student Katie Keogh, who was awarded first place in the senior category of the
‘Healthy Home Chef’ Cookery Competition. Katie was one of 16 finalists selected based on an impressive
online entry to compete in the live cook-off at ATU St. Angela’s College, Co. Sligo on May 7th.
In just 90 minutes, Katie prepared and presented a stunning dish: Pan-fried Goatsbridge Trout with Pea
Purée, Mushrooms and Wilted Spinach , Potato Rosti Cake, Pickled Beetroot and Dill and Trout Caviar White
Sauce. This was served to a panel of judges including renowned chef Neven Maguire of MacNean House.
Well done to Katie on this outstanding achievement which is a true reflection of her creativity, dedication and
remarkable culinary talent!
