Bike Week 2025 A Huge Success

To encourage students to cycle to school and to showcase the new cycle lanes around Mungret and to experience how much fun cycling, Ms Murphy organised two bike rides for students as part of Bike Week 2025.
Two bike rides took place during the week, one during lunch time and one during Junior Cycle PE. A special mention to Limerick County Council, Bike week Limerick and Pat Quigley (Active cities officer at Limerick Sports Partnership who helped us out, provided extra bikes and sponsored the event.
Thank you to TY students David Buston and Aga Hourigan who did a great job cycling with the first and third year students.
Limerick County council sponsored a new bike pump for school, a lock for the two school bikes, prizes for students who participated and wrote accounts of their experiences and ice-creams after the cycle.
The students really enjoyed the bike rides and hopefully it will become an annual event in the school!
