ALL IRELAND U16 A CUP CHAMPIONS 2024!

Our amazing u16 girls basketball team took home the A Cup title on January 15th 2024 in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght. A very physical and competitive game against OLSPCK Belfast saw our girls win out with a scoreline of 39-21. This is an incredible achievement for the girls as it was the school's first year competing in the A division. The girls compete in the All Ireland League Quarter Final in early February. South West Final Victory for U16 A team!

A long day in Athea Community Hall with our girls battling against St Brigid's Killarney in the regional semi final to begin the morning. A winning scoreline of 50-26 meant the girls were to face Calasanctius College Galway in the final after lunch. With a win to finish the day our girls were crowned South West A Champions - a historic win as this team have now won 3 back-to-back regional titles. MCC ABÚ!
2022/2023

Our girls basketball teams have had two incredible years. In 2022, we won the All Ireland Junior C final and in 2023 we won both the All Ireland B Junior and Minor finals. We also won both regional finals making it back-to-back wins. Incredible achievement for this wonderful group of girls and their coaches Ms Donovan, Ms. Wynne and Ms. Pearse.

2022/2023
We had teams entered in minor, junior and U19 competitions this year. All teams played some great basketball making the South-West semi finals and left everything on the court with all three teams narrowly losing out to the eventual regional winners.
