What is the Gaelbhratach club?
Gaelbhratach Club gives students the opportunity to speak Irish outside of the formal classroom setting. Our wonderful student committee is made up of both boys and girl from 1st to 6th year. The committee is in charge of organising events, running the events and promoting Irish around the school. The committee decided on two main aims for 2024/2025. The first was to increase the visibility of Irish around the school and the second was to increase the amount of students and staff who speak Irish outside of the classroom setting. Mungret Community College was awarded the Gaelbhratach flag for 2024 and will soon be receiving the 2025 flag for the committee's efforts with their targets and actions this year.

The week was a great success, with both students and staff making a conscious effort to speak more Irish and immerse themselves in the language, music, and culture.
